The Curator of Collections & Exhibits provides for the overall care and management of Grace Hudson Museum’s collections and items on loan. The ideal candidate will have: 1) academic training in a subject or subjects relevant to the museum’s interpretive agenda and gallery spaces, those primarily being art history, early California art, American and/or California history, Native American studies, anthropology; 2) academic training in museum studies; and 3) at least three years of practical experience working in a collections‐based museum, with a broad knowledge of collections management practices and familiarity with exhibit development and installation.
