As part of its Meet the Artist series at the Grace Hudson Museum, the Mendocino County Art Association presents an illustrated talk by regional photographer Claudia Holt, who considers her work a practice in presence. Holt creates images that immerse the viewer in landscape and encourage a deeper connection with both place and time. For four years, she served as caretaker of the Institute of Noetic Sciences in Petaluma, where she also spent a year as Artist-in-Residence. In her talk, she will discuss the events in her life that helped shaped her artistic voice, and the approach she takes in choosing what to photograph. This event is free and open to the public.
