To extend this year’s Halloween fun, the Grace Hudson Museum will present a free screening the Mel Brooks classic comedy, Young Frankenstein, at 6:00 PM as part of its November First Friday. Enjoy the entire film, or drop in for 10 minutes for a few laughs as you make your way around town.
You’ll also have a chance to see the Museum’s current exhibition, Stitching California, with stunning examples of art quilts, all exploring some facet of California history, culture, and environment. Try out the Stitching California audio tour that you can access on your phone; you’ll get to hear all 42 artists in the show talk about their creation. Or purchase the fully illustrated exhibition catalog and follow the audio tour later in the comfort of your own home. In addition to Stitching California, all the Museum’s exhibit galleries will be open, as well as the Wild Gardens.
The Museum is always free on First Friday.
