This month, Daniel Barth is the featured reader. Daniel is the author of The Day After Hank Williams’ Birthday, Fast Women Beautiful, Coyote Haiku, and Ukiah Haiku. And he is a past Ukiah poet laureate. He will be reading from his new book, At the Corner of Vigor and Wisdom. Dan goes on at 7:00 PM, followed by open mic at 8:00.

Writers Read happens on the last Thursday of most every month and has been happening in Ukiah since 1999. Events focus on poetry, spoken word, and stories, combining a reading by a featured author, then followed by an hour of open mic. Writers Read is sponsored in part by Poets & Writers, and by grants from the James Irvine Foundation and the Hearst Foundation.
