A Brief History of California Photography

An illustrated talk by Drew Johnson, longtime Curator of Photography and Visual Culture at the Oakland Museum of California, and author of the award-winning book, Capturing Light: Masterpieces of California Photography, 1850-2000.  In his presentation, Johnson will survey photographic arts in the Golden State spanning daguerreotypes created during the Gold Rush to fine art prints from of 20th century.
