Spend part of your June First Friday Art Walk at the Grace Hudson Museum and get the first public look at our new exhibition, Tattooed and Tenacious: Inked Women in California’s History. Organized by Exhibit Envoy, and supplemented with items from the Museum’s collections and local women tattooists, this traveling show explores the largely unknown history of California women in the tattoo arts. Brief remarks at 6:00. Also, listen and dance throughout the evening to the music of The Ukeholics, who were a big crowd-pleaser last year. That evening we’ll also be offering our popular foraging walks, where you can learn about plants that are thriving in the Wild Gardens and how to employ them in cooking and other uses. And Little Bear will once again have a table demonstrating Native American toys and tools.
Forty-five minute foraging walks at 4:30 and 5:30.
Tattooed and Tenacious reception from 5:00 to 8:00.
