Writers Read is back! After being on hiatus since March 2020 due to the pandemic, this venerable program returns with featured poet Mark McGovern.

To ensure the protection of all attendees, masks indoors are recommended though not required. Writers Read suggests people do not attend if they they have not been fully vaccinated. And please do not attend you feel in any way ill.

Writers Read happens on the last Thursday of most every month and has been happening in Ukiah since 1999. The program focuses on poetry, spoken word, short stories, song, and expository prose. Mar McGovern steps to the podium at 7:00 PM, followed by Open Mic at 8:00.
