To complement our current exhibition, Gathering Time, we are proud to feature a pop-up show of paintings and prints by Pomo artist Kathleen Smith. An artist from early childhood, she went on to study at the San Francisco Art Institute from where she graduated in 1977. Over the years, she has worked as a cultural interpreter at Point Reyes National Seashore, an instructor of Native American art at Sonoma State University, an archaeological field technician, and a foods columnist for the magazine News from Native California. Her art has been shown in galleries throughout Central California, featured in books and magazines, and in multiple exhibitions.
