Our first new exhibition of 2022 focuses on works of art, Pomo baskets, and various historical materials that have been added to our collections over the past five or so years. In addition to displaying these items — many for the first time! — The Art of Collecting will explore what and why we collect at the Grace Hudson Museum.

A major feature of the show will be 16 Grace Hudson paintings recently given to us by the Palm Springs Art Museum, as well as an uncommon Hudson painting from Grace’s year in Oklahoma (1903) and Grace’s spectacular The Wi-ly, both purchased at auction through our Endowment’s Acquisitions Fund.
