This month featuring Stephen Kessler

Writers Read is back with it’s second program of 2022. This month’s featured reader is Stephen Kessler, author of 12 books of original poetry, most recently Last Call (Black Widow Press); 16 books of translation from Spanish, including The Sonnets by Jorge Luis Borges; 3 collections of essays; and a novel, The Mental Traveler (Greenhouse Review Press). He’ll step to the podium at 7:00 PM, followed by Open Mic at 8:00. To ensure the protection of all attendees, masks indoors are recommended though not required. Writers Read suggests people do not attend if they have not been fully vaccinated. And please don’t attend you feel in any way ill.

Writers Read has been happening in Ukiah since 1999, and occurs on the last Thursday of almost every month. The program focuses on poetry, spoken word, short stories, song, and expository prose.
