Writers Read, Ukiah's Literary Salon

Featuring Linda Noel

For the September program, Writers Read will feature Linda Noel, a California Native of the Koyongkawi Maidu (Konkow) people from the northern Sierra. Her chapbook, Where You First Saw the Eyes of Coyote, has been published in a variety of anthologies and magazines, and her work is included in the Norton Anthology of Native Nations Poetry, When The Light Of The World Was Subdued, Our Songs Came Through. Linda has a piece in the permanent collection at the Autry Museum of the West and another has been adapted and performed by the Pasadena Choir. She is a Poet Laureate Emerita of Ukiah and has read her work throughout the country. Linda will go on just after 7:00, followed by an hour of open mic starting at 8:00.
