Molly Fisk will be the featured reader for April. She is the author of four collections of poems and three compilations of essays/commentary; and she was Poet-Laureate of Nevada County, California from 2017-2019. Molly, among many things, describes herself as a poet, radio commentator, life coach, writing teacher, painter of barns and mason jars full of water, mentor, speaker, feminist with a capital F, former banker, one-time sweater designer, long-walk taker, color maven, nature lover. Writers Read has been happening in Ukiah since 1999, and occurs on the last Thursday of almost every month. The program focuses on poetry, spoken word, short stories, song, and expository prose. Following Molly’s reading, there will be an open mic. Suggested donation is $5.
