Barring oppressive heat, this month’s Frist Friday will largely take place in the Wild Gardens. The eclectic musical duo, Midas Well, featuring Char Jacobs and Chris Gibson, returns to the Museum and will perform under the Brush Arbor. Their repertoire crosses genres to include jazz, blues, folk, country, Americana, and some originals. Take a stroll or guided tour through the Wild Gardens, now looking lush and blooming with summer wildflowers. And visit with Little Bear and friends at his popular table of Native American tools and toys. This is also a great opportunity to see our current exhibition Pulped Under Pressure: The Art of Handmade Paper. Also check out our core galleries devoted to Grace Hudson’s artwork, Pomo basketry, and the history of the Hudson-Carpenter family. Light refreshments will be served.
